Just got the following text "Casual calling and Data rates are changing From 10 Feb calls will be 10c/Min. Data over 10MB/day will be 30c/Mb"

Don't think so. Up until about 6 months ago it was $1 for the first 10 meg per day then $1 / meg after..

What I found interesting is that it is the first time I have ever seen a increase in the base rate of a plan. Normally the plan gets grandfathered and you can only by a new plan.

That was my first thought. But you can get cheaper plans on Telecom prepay if your not a high user..

They make more $$$ when you're on a plan. Why not convert them? It only makes smart business sense.

Don't think so. Up until about 6 months ago it was $1 for the first 10 meg per day then $1 / meg after..

Yes. I was getting confused between casual data and addon data. I guess it is to drive people towards larger packs to avoid the overage.
I will make doubly sure my data limit warning is operating.

If you switch to a post-paid like I did last month, my casual call rates are now 69c a min and 30c MB.

But that's not all, they're putting a minimum $3 monthly charge on my mobile bill for being casual and post paid now.

You can also have a Data Smart Cap applied to stop you being able to pay data overage at all

Only on Postpaid.

Just got a letter today about our Onebill $19 post pay plans.
Data to 30c but call minutes from 44c to 69c. That's quite a hike on minutes.. What they need to do is to allow post pay plans to buy more minutes as you can with data..
