Hi all,

Could someone please confirm if 4G is indeed live in the Johnsonville/Newlands area of Wellington? My phone is show as connected to 4G but not my friends.

Many Thanks

Have you checked the coverage maps. They are normally pretty accurate.

They say that there is no coverage, but my phone said there was 4G at around 10.00am and then it has gone again. It was a strong 4 bars, there has never been 4G here before. Was it a test or something?

How regularly is the information updated because several of the sites on the map have been upgraded to 900Mhz 3G but the map isn't reflecting that change.

There might be an error on there because I remember last year the Heretaunga Vodafone site was upgraded to 900Mhz under the network upgrade.

The sites you're talking about aren't Telecom ones, right?

I was looking at both Vodafone and Telecom but I noticed that the Vodafone information hasn't been updated hence my query regarding how regularly it is updated.

No to Johnsonville, though occasionally I get 4G when I'm walking up a hill overlooking the CBD.
