Just wondering about the power supplies used in a Spark UFB service in a Chorus LFC area.

As far as I can tell the Chorus ONT uses a 2.5m mains cable into a power brick, which then feeds a 12v cable to the ONT. Does the mains cable have an IEC, Figure 8 or clover leaf plug into the power brick?

What sort of power supply is used by the Spark UFB router? Is it a wall-wart type power supply that hangs off a power outlet, or is more like the Chorus ONT power supply with a mains cable running to a power brick, then a low voltage cable to the router? If it has a mains cable, what type of mains connector does it use?

Background: I put a structured cabling system in my parents new house a couple of years ago, using a PDL switchboard-style enclosure (identical but separate to the mains switchboard). This has worked well and looks very tidy as it is flush with the wall. However there isn't enough room for an ONT + router, so I'm looking at installing an identical enclosure adjacent just for the ONT and router. I'm hoping to coordinate this remotely (I live in a different island) but get it set up next time I visit. Rather than getting a sparky to install a power outlet in this enclosure, I would see about running (for instance) a couple of IEC power cables through 50mm electrical conduit from the structured cabling enclosure to the proposed ONT/Router enclosure.

TIA
Nick

ONT - IEC extn cord (you can replace with a shorter/longer one if need be) / Spark RGW - Plug in power pack - not sure how long the cord is

Great, thank you!

The spark plug-in pack may prove more difficult. Might be worth getting things installed on a multibox + extension lead, then get a sparky to fit an outlet that suits later.

For future reference, the Chorus ONT is now supplied with a 'wall wart' plugpack (transformer hangs off power socket) instead of an IEC mains cable into a power brick
