This is a long shot, but client has thousands of emails on Eudora -
which has been issue free for 10 years or more.

Problem is, it no longer works (send OR receive) on Spark since they
changed servers/settings and they don't want to know about support for it.

Sending: Have tried all possible combinations of port (465 or 587)
and SSL option - no joy.

Receiving: Also U/S.

Eudora Error messages include 10053 and 10100 'server got tired of waiting'.

Any still using Eudora on Spark who could offer some pointers pls?

TIA

Just checking if you've tried different variants of the username, with or without the domain name?

Spark and Openhost both work fine using Thunderbird;
client not prepared to trudge back to Outlook (!)

Thanks.

Give up on it.  Eudora doesn't support a lot of the new security features these days.   I used to use it  to access my home email from work via Spark  and it would always fail.    I found that EM Client was pretty good

Oh dear, are they trying to get you to make Netscape Navigator 3 work with a modern online banking site, too?
You are really trying to push a 100 ton boulder up a greased hill, even the far more modern Eudora OSE was abandoned by it's development team a few years back as being too outdated and untenable to support.

Im pretty sure Eudora will still work.

I only stopped using it as it wouldnt display some html emails correctly . I went to thunderbird .
But honestly, it is time to dump Eudora. They can still use it to check old email. Importing contacts etc will be painfull however.

I still use Pegasus mail. It connects just fine to the Orcon mail servers via SSL. Although I'm slowly migrating to Gmail.

I converted one of my customers all over to Thunderbird with the penelope extension.  Cant find it anymore though so it looks like qualcomm scrapped it totally.  To be honest most of the people at that place ended up scrapping the penelope plugin pretty quickly and just using Thunderbird outright.

Is your client using Spark/Xtra/Telecom Business Mail? (mail.telecombusinesshub.co.nz)

I have been using Eudora 7 ( ... W7)  on Spark/Xtra/Telecom successfully for ages; now transitioning to Outlook 2010 on W10 Insider Preview via Aid4Mail. (Need to take account of any changes in locations of Eudora attachments folder over the years, but Aid4Mail has provision for that.)
