I've noticed a download speed degradation on P2P traffic at evening times.
Speedtest still shows the max speed but bittorrent is getting down on about 50%,
Has BigPipe started doing some traffic shaping?

sbiddle: Torrenting is so last year - it's now only as small blip in terms of traffic for the majority of ISP's as most people have moved to legal sources for streaming content.
There doesn't exist any real reason to shape torrent traffic any longer.

There doesn't exist any real reason to shape torrent traffic any longer.
But why Vodafone still shape torrent traffic?

There is a number of useful services based on the bit torrent technology. Personally, I'm using it for P2P TV. Why I use it? Because it's the only way I can get HD TV from overseas in a good quality. I've tested about 5 different providers and P2P is the only way to get your TV in about max speed. The regular IPTV speed from US for me is about 8-9MB/s, Germany - about 6-8 MB/s while the speed from P2P is 20MB/s most of the time (which is about the max speed of my VDSL line).

Brumfondl:
I call BS. 20MB/s is way more than any VDSL line can do considering a 100mbit connection tops out at about 12.5MB/s.
