After a delightful Saga of 7 Chorus visits (yes Seven).

I've now got my bigpipe VDSL in and working.. there was a fair bit of confusion and a lot of back and forth with support, but we got their in the end...

Anyway... that's not what this is about..

I've currently as of today, got this working via my Draytek 2760N, and it's working fine.... But;

I'd like to essentially pass through the static IP i've paid the extra for to a Fortigate device behind it.

Now i know normally, one would get a DV130 and away you go, but before i went and spent $200 ish on a device, i thought i'd ask if anyone had successfully "dumbed" down a higher end Draytek to do just pass-through of PPPoE?

Is it even possible? or am i just going to have to suck it up and go buy a DV130? and pop the 2760N on TardMe? (Along with the rest of the big pile that gathers in the corner that i never get around to :)....)

Cheers,

Sly

I see a "PPPoE Pass-through" option in the manual, have you tried that?

There should be a bridge mode somewhere on it. Drayteks can be a bit funny IME getting into the correct mode though. Have a play around with the settings + see what you get? Will probably be easiest to keep the modem doing the VLAN tagging, so you get just straight PPPoE out of it.

If you're looking for a cheaper device to do the above, look on Trademe for an HG630b. Currently using one in bridge mode here on VDSL.
