If i were you Spark I would fire whatever firm came up with the idea of your latest advertisement.
Yes i did see it but for the whole ad I thought it was about family violence or something until I seen the spark logo at the end.

Sorry yes that one, did not know about the story on StopPress.
Thought I knew or was reasonably up to date on my music but did not even recognize the Pharrell Williams track.

No problem , just don't really understand the ad or how it was supposed to be linked to Spark.

The ad is great, it fits the brand/ There's more to come. can't wait!
I see nothing necessarily wrong with the ad but I'm struggling to see how it relates to (let alone advertises) any of Spark's services.

Spark gets emotive as it launches first big brand ad via Shine and Colenso
"Clive Ormerod, Spark’s general manager of marketing, says the aim of the new marketing push, which rolls out on television tonight, is to connect with consumers emotionally.
"Ormerod says his overarching aim is to tell a series of stories focusing on how technology within the Spark portfolio enables Kiwis to be entertained and connected, and also how Spark can help businesses connect with customers."
It's so "emotive" that it's incomprehensible - even with hindsight I can't see any connection with the Spark "brand".
Fail.
Sideface
Ahhh so that was an extended advert you posted @freitasm and that made a bit more sense although cannot see how it relates to Spark, that is not the one they show on TV the one showing on TV is a cut down version which does not really make sense.

he streamed the music using his free spotify sub he got on his spark mobile.
DUH.
Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.
Get angry, get over it, take the kids to the pub, everything is fine... Makes all the sense. WTF?
First production environment I've ever seen anyone allowed to wear earphones in though. :p
Who's the ad for again? Pubs? Earphones? Anti-violence?
Edit: I reckon I could re-cut "Once Were Warriors" and have the same ad.. A few more tattoos though.
