Put through a request to port an existing VF number (open term contract) to Skinny, logged into Skinny site and I am told "Your request to "Keep your Number" has failed."

Haven't received any additional info, no emails, etc. Any ideas?

All info supplied was correct as far as I know.

I had the same problem porting from VF to Skinny. Like you, I was sure I had entered everything correctly. I called Skinny and the support person tried to port it and got the same error. Eventually she escalated it, and it was done manually somehow. I've since moved to Spark from Skinny, and had issues porting to them as well with the same number.

Edit: mine was Prepay to Prepay

Had the same thing. They eventually got it through but were convinced the number was on Telstra Clear and many times I was asked "what's on your phone bill" but it was a brand new prepay number. Called Vodafone and they couldn't see any issue so it was kinda in limbo. Ended up going back to Vodafone after s couple of days because of some international text issues, but that whole port thing was super weird.

I had this problem once a long time ago, and a very clever guy had to manually do it ... twice! I think it was Telecom -> VF.

Thanks for all your replies.

Had a PM from skinny to sort it out, turns out VF porting system was down at the time it was supposed to go through.

Everything is working as it should now.
