I am trying to get Spark's Broadband Assist tool to work with setting up a new modem, but it seems to want to install a Chrome extension that doesn't exist?

The actual program seems to depend on the browser and extension which I cannot find. Doing a manual search in the Chrome store also shows no sign of the extension.

I wouldn't recommend using that tool anymore tbh. It is my understanding that a replacement system is in the wind.

What are you requiring assistance with to setup your modem? a Quick start guide that came with the modem should have indicated plugin the modem and your good to go.

For Spark modems it is simply plug and play. If you are trying to use it to configure a new modem for sparks network, this will have to be done manually.

HG659b - the white one.

[edit] - it does say further along in the quickstart manual how to log via the browser and change the password etc (in the "Useful Information" section - the last page of the booklet).

Guess I didn't read far enough...

Thanks for all your help! I see there is a more comprehensive guide there.
