I am looking at getting a skinny 4G .. modem and plan .. and I plan to plug an ATA in to it for voip (2talk) just checking that this will likely work ok .. Ie voip not blocked by skinny ???

Skinny doesn't block anything apart from the usual ports.

 

 

 

it's possible you will have issues if miss-configured due to being cgnat, but normally it works well behind nat.

You can request a static IP so no CGNAT

Edit: Static IP might only be available on connections direct from Spark

Yep no static IP on skinny. I have friends who were using 2Talk with Skinny's HG659 on a Skinny DSL connection that used to be CGNat, and had no issues, I wouldn't think the 4G should be any different.

It's when it's miss-configured that it's an issue, correctly setup for behind nat will work well. Many here do it...
