Hey Everyone,

Just wondering... A friend of mine has a Sanyo 8400 and has downloaded a stack load of songs through the music store.

I have been informed that it is not possible to transfer these to another phone because of the licenses attached to the songs.

Is this correct and if not how would you go about transfering the songs onto new hardware and which current hardware could be used to do this?

You should get a copy sent to an email address too, not sure exactly how the process work but I'm pretty sure you get sent one copy to the handset and another to your pc.

Explain to your friend their folly of "purchasing" a DRM crippled file, and direct them towards p2p to get a more user friendly version of the same content they can use how they like.

If your friend has retained the same mobile number, transfered straight to a music store handset that has a removable memory card then he/she should retain the rights to the music he/she has purchased.

Sounds great!

Would you be able to tell me how we would go about the transfer side of things?
