Not sure if this is a coincidence but is anyone else experiencing slow browsing with some sites on Xtra/Spark this afternoon/tonight? Most notably Stuff - it loads the homepage fine, but clicking any story takes ages, and this is in two different browsers. Users streaming Youtube videos (over wifi) experienced buffering earlier, be it 4K, HD or SD. None of this was happening last night.

I've restarted the router and my desktop and wifi-connected devices (mobiles) but to no avail. Haven't touched the ONT. I haven't done thorough testing yet however the Speedtest app (in Windows 10) sits on connecting and goes no further, or if it does it says it can't connect to the internet.

I tried looking up a random Facebook profile on my mobile using the wifi and it sits there loading all the components slowly. Change to (Vodafone) mobile data and boom! it's right there, almost immediately.

Just checking if this is an isolated thing before I start tinkering with router settings or contacting Spark.

I'm based in Auckland.

Thanks in advance :)

Yes, I've just rebooted my modem for the same reason. Some sites load just fine - Facebook comes up instantly with all images, as doesn NZ Herald, but others won't load at all or are loading really slowly. I'm also having trouble with Stuff.

Having issues too, youtube etc. Couldn't even get to Sparks site initially, can now. Nothing on their outage map though, seems only some sites affected.

I take it then with all providers having issues there's something weird going on/changing in chorus land tonight.

Haven't seen anything official though, I'm seeing it on two different provider connections on the North shore.

^ I thought it might be this too. Relieved it's not just isolated to me, I thought it was something with my setup.

Looks like it might all be back to normal this morning?

No complaints here this morning so maybe sorted. Interesting issue as it was intermittant/slow access to certain sites and not others. SpartanVXL mentioned Steam being slow, but my Steam download wasn't affected.

Yup working okay this morning.

It was the steam store page and specific game community pages (not the main one) that were slow. Downloads were okay. Likely a cdn upstream? Dunno.
