I get an XT sim card tomorrow, with the intention of trying it out and deciding if I will make the switch for my iPhone 3G.

Firstly, I know that nzbullet has created a "carrier bundle", but I am wondering if I can actually set up the settings manually and enter them by hand? If so, is there a list of these se

ttings somewhere for XT?

Also, how would I switch between XT and Vodafone usage for the iPhone 3G?

Is there a list of settings for Vodafone that I can change back to if I want to change the SIM to my Vodafone one?

I take it that this is not a simple matter of just switching SIMs, so any help on how to alternate the settings on the iPhone 3G between the two networks would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

If you install the carrier file, it's a simple process of switching SIMs when you want to switch between networks.

Oh, so the carrier file has both sets of information?

Is there any risk in installing the carrier file? I know early on there were some problems, which is why I personally would feel more comfortable putting settings in by hand.

Of course I don't know where to find those settings!

The carrier file created by nzbullet contains info for Telecom's network only, but the Vodafone settings don't get erased - the iPhone picks the appropriate file/settings based on what SIM is inserted.

Ah, that's pretty clever. So you can just switch at will then?!

Do you know if it is possible to enter the details by hand?
