I have a ported 021 number on Telecom and can't access the pdaportal website. When I request a password at https://mobile.xtra.co.nz/pwm/donewpassword it says "Sorry, your phone is not a Telecom mobile".

Anyone else having problems with non-027 numbers?

Hey hallannz, are you able to provide me some details about what APN you're trying to access pdaportal.telecom.co.nz? Also are you able to access other sites as well (e.g. Google?).

internet.telecom.co.nz as APN

from what I've read that's supposed not to work for pdaportal.telecom.co.nz, you're supposed to use direct.telecom.co.nz which is the unfiltered version, but it works for me. I've full access to the net (Google etc) on that APN.

My phone's away getting fixed but I'm pretty sure that I could log into pdaportal using my 021 number. I believe that I was using direct.telecom.co.nz (I was tethering and left it to use the default).

@hallannz thanks for the comment but it is not related to my question really. I am using the desktop PC to get a password sent. That is where it goes wrong.

What service are you using to reach that link? From what I've seen, Telecom has two distinct SSO services. There's one for the old CDMA network (which doesn't support any number on XT) and the new XT one. For example, I found that before they enabled Music Store on XT the "get a password" link would go to the old SSO system, which told me my XT number was not on Telecom.

Try using the MMS gallery on your PC - http://www.telecom.co.nz/onlinegallery. It'll bounce you to the "Sun Java System Access Manager Login" where you can sign up for a password (also, https://pwm.telecom.co.nz/pwm/newpassword works directly). It definitely works for XT. The old Xtra stuff doesn't.

Kyanar: What service are you using to reach that link?

Folks, please read my original post again... I am using my desktop browser to request the password so I can access the service. My mobile device sees the page, I just have the password.

When I use the desktop (as instructed on the PDAPortal page) to request the password it says my mobile is not a Telecom account.

I know that - but there are altogether too many ways to reach the login pages for Telecom services. Some of them send you to the legacy login (which won't accept XT numbers) and some send you to the new one (which does).

Try what I suggested anyway, I think you might have misunderstood my post.  (Specifically, this link: https://pwm.telecom.co.nz/pwm/newpassword)

I am sorry - yes I misread your post. I read as in "How do you access the portal", not how to acces the password page.

I've used the MMS link and I managed to get a password now. Perfect, thanks...

Hi all,

Just to answer a few questions...

For hallannz yes pdaportal.telecom.co.nz will work for direct APN, Internet APN & Wifi.

However for the mobile 'Your Telecom' app you can only access this via a WAP APN, Internet APN or Direct APN.

For Freitasm question...

For the desktop access to Your Telecom service you need to log into the current 'Your Telecom' online (https://ocds.yourtelecom.co.nz) please note you will have needed to set up 'Your Telecom' with your bill previously and this is only for accounts on a Plan.

To reset the password from a desktop to log into 'Your Telecom' on your handset you can do this via the handset (following Your Telecom link on pdaportal.telecom.co.nz) or you can use the link below to change your password from CallerTunes, MMS or Music Store logins:

Link to Telecom Mobile Password
