I am on Go large plan and always have problem with streaming from tvnz. So i thought i could just download whole and watch it later. so I used script here to get url http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25685
and download with downthemall and with in less than a minutes the download was finished.
So for anyone who have this problem give it a go..
I still don;t know what the diff but very happy.

Also I would like to get opponion about people who move to big time from go large (especially people in auckland cbd)

If only mine was that quick! the videos max out at about 25KBPS fr me though I can attach multiple chunks of them and not notice a degradation in each transfer.

TVNZ streaming services are hosted by Citylink.

Telecom (largest ISP/audience in NZ) doesn't pay to peer at the Citylink run APE and WIX peering exchanges and Citylink (a large content provider) doesn't pay to interconnect with Telecom.

So on Telecom TVNZ content is actually international traffic coming from Citylink's US content mirror.

It's quite silly really but that's politics.

I tried several video last night and all was extremely fast minimum of 100 kB/s each . maybe u should increase no of chunk each file when download

My understanding (and I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong) is that both Big Time and Go Large use the exact same box for traffic shaping. This means there should be absolutely no difference at all in the traffic shaping between the two plans.

Do you think Telecom and TVNZ's partnership with TiVo is likely to see any change to this? After all the unmetred on-demand content would be better off domestic for Telecom and it would be faster?!
