SD Cards are the memory cards you can get through Cellect.

SDIO is a type of slot they can go into.

SD Slots will only take SD Cards

SDIO Slots will take SD Cards AND things like SD Wifi Cards or SD Barcode scanners.

e.g. the Harrier has an SDIO slot, you can put a 512MB SD Card in, or an SD Bar Code scanner.

FYI the Harrier also accepts MMC Cards.

"SDIO" means "Secure Digital Input Output" with "IO" being the part that makes all the difference for scanners, modems, wifi cards etc etc
