I noticed that I haven't been able to connect to the anz bank website for the last cople of days. After my wife called the Telecom helpdesk for assistance and the guy on the other end said the fault is on our end, not theirs, I thought I would see if anyone else here has the same problem.

I am sure it's not a fault on my end. I have tried 3 different modems, tried from all 9 PC's on my network, Taken my laptop (that cannot access ANZ from home) to work and it connects fine.

I am on Big Time and apart from this, the slllooooowww speeds from Rapidshare etc.  and the slow/non-existant streaming from TVNZ, I am happy.

Any ideas?

It is working fine for me mate, nothing wrong with the ANZ site.

Yeah, I know that ther's nothing wrong with the ANZ site. I can connect to it fine from work, I just can't from home (with the same laptop). I actually just did a clean install of windows with nothing else installed on a spare computer and I still can't connect.

Are you able to do a traceroute to anz.co.nz ?
Have you tried anz.com?

All fixed.

No idea why, it just started working all of a sudden.

I had trouble with accessing the ANZ from home a few years ago - drove me nuts - worked fine every where else I tried to access it. Turned out it was the trial version of Norton/Symantec that came with the PC - Removed that and replaced with one of the free avs and no problems ever again - PC also went much faster after that.

I'd check your antivirus and if you are using an add-on extra firewall I'd start looking there - 99% guaranteed to be the issue.
