We all known you are set on the i-mate Jasjar... But would the TNZ Apache be an option?

Oh... Forgot to log with my fake username for content pushing...

Seriouslly though, no... It's just that Chiefie is talking about the Jasjar so much, but there's an option that costs almost 40% less, with much faster data - and still Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and keyboard. Ah, and did I say faster responsive device?

what is in the box? Are there extra stylus's (stylii?)
Charger, documentation, cd, mini-usb cable and headset are obivious.

You seem very sold on your apache, has anyone heard a concrete date? the 20th was last week, I might call into a leading edge when I head out this afternoon

I have a box with cradle, 2x stylus, leather holster, wall charger, USB cable, Apache (of course) and an extra battery.

I don't think the extra battery will be standard, since this is a demo unit. I have just cleared the storage space to return it today to TNZ.

I heard the date is now pushed one week - to first week of November. But no official word, only rumours.

Yes, I am sold on the Apache. It's a nice device.

woohoo.. not often I get a topic with my username on it! :-D

mmmm well apache does look great! and everything sounds good and speedy. one fault though... it's with telecom... I would like to use Vodafone... oh and it's not VGA! *hahah got to pick a fault!*

However though, Apache is one strong contender to JasJar... i gotta admit that!

*psst: is there a Data-only plan with Apache/Telecom? if so I "might" look into getting Apache instead... however QVGA is... so pre-WM5* LOL

Yes, there's is. Ask for the NZ$10/month plan if you want casual rates and no call plan (voice still available, but full price).

how much allowance/traffic do you get for $10/month casual plan? what's the next "affordable" plan for someone who doesn't use a lot for mobile data but good for few hours a week or so (when commuting or on the move)

p/s: how much is Apache?

No Video calling on the Telecom handset and the jasjar can do data and a voice call at the same time. Surf the web send Emails while talking to the person.

I have another genuine speculative baseless rumour here that says its shipping tomorrow (from supplier - so the day after for most stores...)
