Hi there - the factory original code is 12345
If that doesnt work then someone has changed it since purchase.

Nobody is doing things to you :)... Spam bots are programs that crawl webpages on the Internet, looking for e-mail addresses so that they can add to the list of people to send spam (unsolicited commercial e-mail).

When we change the e-mail addresses people post in our forums is to protect these e-mail addresses from being harvested by spammers.

Its simply us caring about you :-)

If you -really- want to list your email address (which is usually a bad idea...) then format it like this:

instead of

robert.smith@catholicchurch-c4jointventure.com

you would have

robert dot smith at catholicchurch dash c4jointventure dot com

- its still human readable, but very few automated systems would pick that up. (I guess its far quicker to scan pages for the @ symbol, than to process all text look for 'dot' and 'at' )

Tried the 12345 code but it didnt work for some reason. And i know my mum is not even capable of changing the code and she insists she didnt. Hell she cant even text!!!

Would really like to know how to solve the issue. I would take it to a telecom store but quite stretched for time. Some1 help me!!!

Just use common sense. You posted your phone number here. Next thing you know there are people you never met before calling the number, pranks at the wrong time of the night, people subscribing to SMS services, and other stuff... You wouldn't want this would you?

Anything you post on the Internet will be up around forever haunting you...

Just offer help via PM and that solves the problem.

C'mon joe5600, no need to shout. There's a long curve - called education. You learn a little every day. One of the things that is common knowledge is that the less you disclose on the Internet the better.

Don't you feel that people knowing your e-mail address or your phone number could use this to either annoy you or to steal your identity, or something worst?

No one here is trying to make it harder, just trying to make it smarter.
