Hi there, this is what i want to do, can you please help me and tell if it is possible and the steps necessary.

We have 2 laptops, and use one Primary Xtra Email address, let's call it dougie@xtra.co.nz, my wife uses a sub account and tells people her email address, let's call that hers@xtra.co.nz, all emails come into the same Outlook 2007 on my desktop and i have rules set up that any mail arriving to hers@xtra.co.nz go into a folder marked "hers', but of course any emails she sends show as from dougie@xtra.co.nz, and under my name.

We now have 2 laptops and she rarely uses mine any longer, and has both a Hotmail she uses reasonably regularly and the afore mentioned xtra email address. Hence the suggestion to use Windows Live.

What i want to do is set up either Outlook or Windows Live on her laptop so any mail sent to her goes directly to hers@xtra.co.nz on her laptop, and any emails she sends go from hers@xtra.co.nz under her name, rather than my primary address dougie@xtra.co.nz

So, i believe this is possible, and would someone be so kind as to explain the steps to me.

Thanks all and appreciate your assistance.

DR

is it a sub account or an alias? Alias shares the same mailbox and sub account has a different one

How can I set up my email or change settings?
http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1232/r_id/166/search/1/searchtype/rn/kw/email%20...

Just setup her account in Windows Live Mail on her laptop and remove checking that account from Outlook on your machine.

Sub account is a separate account not an alias so should be fine.

Thanks for the reply, I was getting confused between 'Sub Accounts' and 'Aliases', and once i looked up Sub Accounts it was relatively simple...

Cheers all
