Have been trying to send a MMS since monday afternoon from 2 xt phones to each other. The phones are both set to 300K. Your Telecom has billed both accounts for each time we've tried to send to each other so it's obviously been sent fine. Don't know what the problem could be with receiving cause it was working a week ago and APN are the same. One phone received a MMS from vodafone phone last night...go figure.

Have you tried sending one from mmsgallery.telecom.co.nz and see if it works from there.  You can upload a image to the gallery and send a mms from there.

Also there can be issues receiving a MMS if your phone hasn't ever sent a MMS since then the MMS system won't know what sort of phone you have, or if you have swapped phones and the MMS still has your old handset type registered.

Otherwise you could get your MMS Profile reset.

Suggest you ring 123 and log a fault.

I fixed it. I've a Xperia X10 running android 2.1 and had deleted conversation.apk (Default messaging app) cos i use handcent for messaging. I reinstalled conversation.apk and now its working normaly again. This was the same for the other phone which was a Xperia mini pro on 2.1 too. Still doesn't explain how i received a vodafone mms during this time.

I tried sending from the http://mmsgallery.telecom.co.nz/ but no good. It's working now so it's alright.
