I've been using the excellent Netusage Add-on ( http://netusage.iau5.com/ ) for Firefox to monitor Telecom broadband usage for some months, but since Telecom's usage page went down for maintenance last night, this add-on no longer works producing an "ISP Error Occured. 405 Method not allowed (S1)" error despite the official usage site being back up. Seems Telecom have moved the goalposts. Any ideas of a workaround?
Now that the TiVo glitch has been fixed, I'll need to keep a close track of what's happening very soon.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Yeah having the same problem, i think Telecom have moved the usage meter page.
The guy is currently busy making a chrome version but i just tweeted him so hopefully he puts a fix out.
In the meantime does anyone know of a replacement meter which does a similar job?

Or is their anyway to edit the add on, as i think it is onyl the url that is broken?

Thats a great program TUC, just installed it.
But once they fix the TiVo bug i'll be able to see what I'm using ;-)

Thanks kingjj. I never knew that meter existed. Very useful.
The one i was using was kind of generic - not gettnig the results direct from the ISP but just monitoring how much comes and goes. Be useful to have them both going.

i'm with orcon, and a while ago netusageitem stopped working for me. the author has on his webpage instructions about how to roll your own isp file.

it's not too difficult - a bit of mucking around with zip files and regular expressions.

TUC won't keep running for me, it worked once then crashed, now it won't start even after a reboot.
I'm using windows 7

Do post in the TUC forums about your issue, the developer is really good at fixing problems with his software.

Hi guys,
Im not the dev, but found the solution! (yay firstpost)

Close Firefox before attempting!!!!

 Go to C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7dkwuohz.default\extensions\{1F37EAD1-CB6E-497b-8C90-3AF2647547D2}\chrome
You will see a file called netusageisps.jar.
Next, Use Winrar or Winzip to extract it., a file called isps_nz.js should come up.
Open isps_nz.js with your favourite text editor, it could be notepad, dreamweaver, or something else, it doesn't matter.

Search for this line : https://www.telecom.co.nz/xtralogin.fcc SMENC=ISO-8859-1&SMLOCALE=US-EN&USER={USERNAME}&PASSWORD={PASSWORD}&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telecom.co.nz%2Fjetstreamum%2FxtraSum&smauthreason=0

Thats the old code, replace the code with https://login1.telecom.co.nz/distauth/ZeroPageLogin.jsp?goto=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telecom.co.nz%2Fjetstreamum%2FxtraSum%3Flink%3Drdt&password={PASSWORD}&realm=XtraUsers&username={USERNAME}&x=12&y=10

Save the file, and compress it back into the original file. (drag into the .jar in Winrar)
Start Firefox and check the usage meter! It should be working again!

I Hope you like this, I found the new values when I checked the connections in Firebug.
P.S: emailed the dev to add it into the ISP addons

Thankyou Sir!

Worked for me... I had gotten as far as getting the js file open and trying to derive the correct URL to put back in but I thought I'd come here one last time and see what other software had fixed the problem - assuming there might be a readable file in one of those apps I could copy - but you had the info I needed right here.

Cheers.

Neil G

I've got even greater news for you!!
I found the actual values!!!!

Search for this line : 'USAGEPAGE',
            'POST https://www.telecom.co.nz/xtralogin.fcc SMENC=ISO-8859-1&SMLOCALE=US-EN&USER={USERNAME}&PASSWORD={PASSWORD}&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telecom.co.nz%2Fjetstreamum%2FxtraSum&smauthreason=0',

Change the telecom code to:

            'USAGEPAGE',
'POST https://login1.telecom.co.nz/distauth/UI/Login? IDButton=Submit&IDToken0=&IDToken1={USERNAME}&IDToken2={PASSWORD}&SunQueryParamsString=cmVhbG09WHRyYVVzZXJzJg%3D%3D&encoded=true&goto=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cudGVsZWNvbS5jby5uejo0NDMvamV0c3RyZWFtdW0veHRyYVN1bT9saW5rPXJkdA%3D%3D&gotoOnFail=&gx_charset=UTF-8',
            'REFRESHREDIRECT',

I messed up the one earlier as it occasionally 404s
