Found this today, while reading their Moble Broadband offer, but haven't seem any discussion on this yet:

Twenty-four months is a loooooong time.

Bet you the deal won't look as hot just twelve months after you signed up for it.

Sshhhhhh. Don't tell everybody what neither Vodafone or Telecom want you to know! :-)

I have to give Telecom credit for actually giving you a perk for signing up on a contract - Vodafone want you to sign up for 24 months just to get a basic plan. Vodafone also need to wake up to the fact the competition also have far better deals on peak time - when Telecom were rounding all calls up to the nearest minute this wasn't an issue but it's very obvious - maybe Vodafone haven't realised this yet!!

I'm a bit late catching up on this thread, but had to comment as I find it a bit Ironic.

I have to give Telecom credit for actually giving you a perk for signing up on a contract - Vodafone want you to sign up for 24 months just to get a basic plan.

I know the Telecom offer sounds good - but have you guys looked at the real numbers.

150 min on Telecom (100 plan + 50min) is $80
120 min on Voda You Choose is only $60.

I know which one I prefer, plus on Voda you can add other things too it:

I added 100 TXT and 3Meg of data and I'm still be under the $80 mark.

Or for a straight comparison you can add another 100 off peak minutes ($15) giving you 220min and still be cheeper than Telecoms 150min option!

The same applies across all of the different plans (not just this spend level).

Full credit to Telecoms marketing team for making their offer 'sound good', but when you actually look at the numbers its a different story! Clearly Telecom are taking the 'suck people into contracts' line, rather than rewarding them as suggested?!?

I am sure there has already been a discussion on this promotion or was that the 'Time and One Third promotion' - I can't remember.
