On my HTC Aria I cannot connect to the mobile data network. I have full cell reception however and am receiving text messages.

So no mobile data for me tonight, anyone else with this problem?

Also: *333 and 0800 32 32 32 aren't working and say they are unavailable

I've noticed the Your Telecom (or what ever its called, the bit where you check balance/add on packs remaining) hasn't been going all day.

Thats the only data I've tried all day though

If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.

Had the same symptoms last night in Northland area, for about four hours. voice and sms coverage, iphone claimed to be connected to 3G network, but unable to use any data services and *333 down. All fine today.

My Dad's reporting no connection from his XT 3G stick in Torbay, has been on the phone to Telecom and didn't believe them when they told him there was an outage of the whole network Laughing

He's definitely still unable to connect though.

Had the same issue tonight as above for about two hours. First hour, could not reach account balance etc. on *333 ("service unavailable"), then second hour, could reach *333 for balance but still no internet access. 123 faults was interminably busy with high levels of enquiries (surprise!). Eventually turned itself back on just before midnight.

What's frustrating about the outage as I experience it is that my iphone claims to be connected to a 3G data network (internet.telecom.co.nz) but can't make a connection via any internet apps. Other times I have had cell network dropouts in areas of poor coverage but the phone wouldn't be thinking it receives a connection.

I'm in northland away from home but have had no problem downloading 4GB of data over the last few weeks before the last two nights.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone having similar issues!

I've had problems with Mobile broadband the last couple of nights as well, in Whatawhata, Waikato.

All day sunday we had short outages and then about 8.30pm it died completely and didnt come back up before we gave up and went to bed..

Same thing happened last night, completely dead about 9pm.

We use a T-stick shared as our home broadband plus have two XT mobiles in the house, none of them could access data during the outage.

I've got a vodem lying around at home, quite tempted to get a prepaid sim for it as a backup if this keeps up.
