Hi there,

I'm just wondering about how static IP addresses are managed on the Total Home Broadband plans? There's no information on the Telecom website, but we're on the 100GB plan and have had the same address for the past 6 months now (definitely a bonus). Is this a standard feature?

Details are here @Peppery: http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1270

On which plans can I have a Static IP?
All Telecom Broadband plans are eligible except for Broadband Basic and Big Time. Some plans include a free static IP, while with other plans it is an additional cost. Please note that Static IPs are not automatically assigned when moving onto a plan that has a free Static IP. All Static IP addresses must be applied for and charges may apply.

On the link above there is an 'apply online' link that takes you through to this page: https://www.telecom.co.nz/form/1,,5208,00.html

It has details on the Total Home broadband packages and which ones will cost extra for a static IP and which ones will be free for a static IP.

In practice on the new plans it's seems the ip address you are assigned is "sticky" meaning you will usually get the same one even if you disconnected for awhile and reconnect later.
