Has anyone had some feed back from users of M800 car phones since they have had a firmware or software change.

I have several that are tremendously better now with the upgrade than the original phones launched last year.

I have also found that using the cheap on glass antennas really cuts your performance down, i have installed a large number the last month for clients using Pacific whip antennas and or RFi antennas with Bonnet mounts, with the privacy adaptor these are awesome and in many cases better than the Motorola 2900 car phones. Very clear!!

I am finding dealers in cities are installing with the on glass antennas and the end users arn't getting the performance they would expect.

Has any one noticed a big improvement with their m800 or clients M800?

Most (not all) glass mount antennas I've found are only a minimal gain antenna (2-3db gain) I have found one glass mount that has a 6db gain that works brilliantly!! Although you can't really go past a nice bonnet mounted 9db gain antenna ;)

yeah the patch antennas from RFi - ITG4000 are pretty good, mainly because there is no induction from the antenna to the base through the window.

Most dealers have no clue about enhanced antennas.

You're not wrong there ;)

Most seem to thing one antenna is as good as the next
