Hi,
I'd like to configure firewall on the Telecom's TG585 router that I've got with my broadband contract.
Basically, the software allows me just to choose between three firewall running modes. I need to configure particular ports, instead
When I try to open the 'Configure' page the following message is shown: 'This level is protected and not editable'
So, how to get the access to configure this?

Thanks,

Take a look at the game and application sharing, it allows you to setup port forwarding on the Thompson.  You can use prest set ones or make your own.

Thanks, guys, but the port forwarding is not what I need.
I want to configure firewall to allow only certain ports from the LAN to go to the WAN.
And it seems like the option is here but just requires some special kind of an access.

I think you're talking about Parental Control?  To prevent access to certain web-sites.

Generally blocking certain ports you would need to enable the firewall and configure from there.  But I assume you know what you're doing?
