Is there a way to tell if you are being "stalked"? And can you remove this option on your account? Can you stop the "stalker" from stalking?

Personally I find it a little creepy that people can follow my posts on the forums, without friend-ing me.

It's similar to the Facebook "subscribe" - you see what people are posting but not necessarily want to be friends with.

It can't be disabled. If you post in a private forum the stalker won't receive a notification. Otherwise it's public.

So there is no way to know if people are subscribing to you?

Yes, it's a flood of email notifications from JohnR.

Is this a way of saying that it may happen one day?

It could happen. I don't personally think it's a problem as the "stalker" or "subscriber" only receives an email of public post. It's similar to having a RSS feed: you have no idea who is reading your blog posts.

Doesn't bother me at all... If I don't want people reading my posts I'll stop posting on public forums.
