My Safari does that too.

But, I use FF for Mac, because I like all my FF extensions including Foxmarks.

Yes, the first thing I installed was FireFox Wink (I cant be without Foxmarks!!!)

But since Safari was default browser, something opened in Safari and thought let me browse in Safari for some time and encountered this Laughing

Does the same thing in Mobile Safari too (as it's based on Safari 3).

Found the problem!

Looking into Safari 3's Web Inspector:

Fail:

Pass:

Looking into the right column of Web Inspector, under 'Computed Styles' shows that Safari doesn't interpret the CSS within the curly braces, removing it then renders correctly.

So it's up to Mauricio...

Interesting because I think the curly brackets should be interpreted...

I might change and test if it works on FF, IE and Safari - later.

If styles are used inline, that curly braces aren't needed, while if it's in a stylesheet, then it's required.

See the W3C article.
