As referred to in this thread; I am experiencing this bug:

https://github.com/tinymce/tinymce/issues/5310

TinyMCE elements not working when on a touch-enabled device.

If anyone else is also seeing it, then we could add the details to the GitHub thread - the more use cases the more likely a fix, I'd have thought....

Thanks. As mentioned via PM, I  have added your setup description to that bug report.

I can't do bullet points / links / bold using the geekzone editor GUI buttons right now, on a desktop rather than a mobile device. Keyboard shortcut for bold works. I have no ad blocker active on GZ, doesn't work on Firefox or Chrome.

Do you have a touchscreen device on your desktop?

Yes, I have a Surface Pro 3 closed on my desk, with a monitor plugged in via a USB dock.

So it's a touchscreen device. This is the current problem listed in the OP.

Same happens to me - currently using a docked Surface device. At home all is well as it's a true desktop.

Touching the buttons works. This is going to fixed at some stage by TinyMCE.

A fix was released. Could some of you test it please?

From the original thread about Geekzone GUI editor buttons not working in Firefox or Chrome referring here (now locked), is this still the right place to report GUI experiences?

Clicked the text box tick yes option for a GZ member connection request. Page reloaded. But only reloaded back to half the initial GUI question box, no longer with any option box to tick. It was so unexpected I clicked out before grabbing a screenshot.

Coming from a fresh install of Chromium on Linux so no apps or bugs, at least not as far as the free ESET trial is concerned. Usually use Firefox, but ran into GZ problems so switched over to double check.

Will shot if it I can recreate error.

Still doesn't work, even after a control-shift-reload.

It's still not working for me, I'm afraid.  "tiny.cloud" demo site not working either, FYI

Instead of forcing refresh you folks should try clearing the browser cache - CTRL-SHIFT-DEL and select the checkbox "Cached images and files".

From the Github thread people have been reporting this as fixed.

Still not working after doing that and then re-loading the page from Geekzone.

At the risk of asking a stupid question, is there a mechanism to get the version number of TinyMCE that is loading?  The reason I ask is that the "tiny.cloud" site, which I would have expected to been updated automagically, DOES let me get a version number and it says "5.1.4" (i.e. unfixed) - which is probably why I wasn't able to get the tiny.cloud demo to work...

OK, I see this in the source-code of this (gz) page:

<link rel="preload" href="https://cdn.tiny.cloud/1/se1fkhbm3gw8ze88u45x0xbfadkco7fkmclchscjtvnx869q/tinymce/5/tinymce.min.js" as="script">

When I fetch that URL using WGET (so no danger of browser cache), the code loaded says v5.1.4; so perhaps they've not pushed the update out fully yet?

... and after querying in the upstream GitHub issue, I was able to verify v5.1.5 fixes the issue I was seeing.

Their cloud-based version probably won't get the update until the early New Year for good change-control and QA related reasons.
