Hi guys.
Is there a Geekzone app for Android, or a mobile version of the website?
When I go to geekzone.co.nz on my mobile it loads the desktop version.
Cheers!

A while ago there used to be a Mobile Website however it was retired as a lot of people were using the Desktop Website on Mobile due to how you could do more stuff with it. Desktop Website also was a lot faster on Mobile then the Mobile Site if I remember rightly as well.
If you use a Web Browser that supports proper text reflow and resizing then it should look good.

I have switched off the mobile version now. All pages redirect to the desktop version. When on mobile the rich text editor is automatically disabled (although I understand some mobile browsers support it).
The main reason is feature parity. I have fixed faults and added features to the main site but not reflecting this on mobile.

Thanks! yeah... using the desktop is indeed easier and so... but sometimes you just wanna quickly look at a response or watch a thread and being able to do that on your mobile would be really helpful 😀

That RSS feed icon at the top of the Discussions column on the home page is quite good to keep up to date with posts.
Unfortunately I have never found a browser that resizes the text in the actual posts that lets me read them easily.

So just to be clear - I am not complaining here - Just wonder if I am missing something...
So I tried opera on my phone.
The RSS reader for the Discussions looks fine - but it looked ok on Chrome as well.
The posts are still microscopic (just like chrome) and require zooming and panning to try and see the text.
There is a "Reader mode" that is available when the posts come up at the top of the above screen - This actually looks pretty good, but it seems to only display a very small part of the posts - I can't actually see the individual posts or work out which bits it has decided to display for me.
Is this what everyone else gets too?
(Like I said - not complaining - just wondering...)

@robjg63 if you double-tap on the text or zoom-in with two fingers the text automatically reflow and will reflow if you continue to zoom again - unlike Chrome:

davidcole: So opera will reflow on mobile, but chrome on iOS won’t, nor safari?
I always end up having to zoom in to get the text size bigger and move around the page. It doesn’t feel a good experience.
Many years ago the Chrome team said they will not implement reflow - they say website developers should deal with it using mobile tools.
Way to make it harder for everyone, Google.
