For a bit of fun I decided to install Windows 3.11 in a VM. Nostalgia and all that.

Anyway, I managed to get Geekzone (kind of) up in Opera 3.62 (NN4 an IE3 failed miserably).

Is this Windows 3.11 for Workgroup? I think it's the best version of Windows 3.x.

I have a customer still running Windows 3.1 to run some software to control a computer operated timber saw

Its boots blindingly fast on modern hardware

just think in a couple more years how fast Windows XP will be!!

From powering the VM on to usable, is less than 5 seconds.

Ha ha, very nice. I must say that version of opera does very well at rendering!

Running it on IE 4.01 on my local machine renders it worse and IE 3.0 is laughable.
