I was wondering if there was a blog API, that I could send html docs, or links to a google document that could be posted as my blog post.

What do others use to post to their geekzone blogs?

We currently have the web-based blog posting page, but just last week we were testing a metaweblog API interface on metaweblog.geekzone.co.nz...

This means you will be able to use Windows Live Writer, Microsoft Word or a*any* other metaweblog compliant software to blog on Geekzone.

I didn't want to disclose it until we have it ready, currently working on the image upload bits. Again, thanks to Phil at RedJungle for working on this.

PS. We don't have this ready because Phil was stranded in Taupo for three days because of the snowstorm this week and he rather go to the hot pools instead of working as a slave...

Thanks for the update and nice work. I might have to work a little more with window live or write a google passer (that's if I can get my head around it). I have been looking at the basic xml structure to express a blog post to the api http://cyber.law.harvard.edu element titles, does Geekzone use any special elements, ie <trackback>?

I've not implemented anything outside the standard API. So far that includes the following methods:

metaWeblog.newPost
metaWeblog.editPost
metaWeblog.getPost
metaWeblog.newMediaObject
metaWeblog.getCategories
metaWeblog.getRecentPosts
blogger.getUsersBlogs
metaWeblog.getUsersBlogs
blogger.deletePost

Not implemented at this time (because I saw no good fit for Geekzone):

blogger.getUserInfo
wp.newPage
wp.getPageList
wp.getPages
wp.getPage
wp.editPage
wp.deletePage
wp.getAuthors
