I understand you guys had to remove v6 from here during your DC move but is there any word on when it will be back up and running?

Miss the logo :D

Apparently there were <50 people using it :P
Would be interested to see which ISPs/tunnels people were using to hit v6 geekzone.

Current webhoster (Datacom) don't yet support it - I can't remember the technical reasons, but it's not far away.

I was one of those people using it since Unleash support full IPv6, was nice and quick on Geekzone.

Wish more routers would support IPv6

So, I assume I need to upgrade to a new adsl modem to get IPv6? Or, would a modem firmware update do the trick?

How does DNS work in the ipv6 environment? I assume, web URL's would need to resolve to an IPv6 address, instead of the older v4.

Dunno how this will actually work. I'll have to do some reading :)

I assumed Telecom would have some information regarding the migration of it's customers to IPV6 - nada!! Nothing, not even a single hit.

I got onto the IPv6 trial for Xnet DSL but need to get a new full bridge modem and find a DD-WRT build that has good support. We use PFsense at work and wish it would support it as we could get it quite easy at work.

Yes, you need a new modem or a firmware for your modem that does v6. (You'll probably end up getting a new modem, no vendors are going to do firmware updates for existing modem/routers!)

DNS works the same. You just look up AAAA records over v4 or v6.

There're IPv6 versions of various Dynalink firmwares. (Some already have working beta releases)

I just use openWRT on a WRT54GL acting as the IPv6 tunnel on my home network.
