Hi There!

A couple of people have reported that when they try to reply to my PM's they get a Forbidden error, and last night I got it as well, and it went away after about 20 minutes and I was able to reply

Secondly I run FF4b9 and the live update forum post system isn't working, is there a workaround, as this is something I use a lot and really like.

If your PMs have some special character in the subject - including a ' - then it will be blocked.

Are you running ad blockers? If you have ad blockers then the "live" features won't work.

Wow I can't believe I missed the actual thing on the actual live area telling me to check for adblocking stuff. Thanks, that has me operational again!

I take it I can't just block normal ad's I have to miss out on everything ?

You know when you block ads you are impacting us and not helping at all? If we don't make money on the ads how are we supposed to keep things running? Read this.

Hi There!

Well I enabled ad block for other sites, not to purposely block GZ, I didn't even make the connection till you mentioned it. I have enabled it so I can get back the features I really like, and as a result back to the ad's (Which on this site are relatively relevant to me.

Out of curiosity approx how much revenue does a moderate user of the site generate per year? I would likely be prepared to pay that instead of seeing ads, but likely it's not worth your time to set something like that up.

Anyways, I really like GZ, and sorry I didn't read the page properly and asked the dumb question :)

Personally of those benefits the only one I would be interested in is the no-ads and I couldn't see $60 worth of benefit in that alone. Perhaps you create a second subscription option if it's worth your time to do it. Perhaps $20 a year, no ads and access to a limited number of sub only forums perhaps.

The $60 a year comes down to $5 a month. It's a coffee. It's that too much?

$60 a year to get rid of ad's which is the major benefit in the list I would use, is too much yes. I want to tread lightly here as the last thing I want to do is upset you. I am just saying, that I think a smaller sub for a smaller subset of features will likely result in a larger number of overall subscribers. Personally the other alternative would be to create additional features like subscriber only competitions or something might be worth considering. It's not that $5 a month is a lot of money, but it's that $60 is a bit per year if the only feature difference you will make regular use of is ad-blocking.

For the record, I have purchased a couple of kindles and given your referral link to a number of my clients in an effort to "help out" as I DO value this site, so please don't take my comments as ungratefulness.
