With the BBCode I can use the quick reply for most things.

The only remaining thing for me at present is inline link formatting.

I avoid it simply because it's a pain to switch to the editor.

I rarely want to do it so it is not a biggie, just a nice to have.

As above. Maybe I messed up on my previous attempts.

The only problem exists when you use the [url] tags in the rich text editor and your browser decides to auto hyperlink the URL. In this case you should really select and click the button to remove the hyperlink. But nothing much we can do with TinyMCE...

That could have been it since I tend to use BB in the rich editor as well, which in practice now, is only after using the quote button (which automatically goes to the rich editor).

Or you can just disable the editor in your profile and use BBCode exclusively.

After I disable the rich editor in the profile options, I see something new.

When editing or quoting posts which have links in the them, I see the full html source for each link. I also see source for line breaks in some posts.

Somehow I don't think that is intentional.

It is only a problem when editing or quoting posts with any kind of links or line breaks

That's been the case since remote ages. I have thought of changing it now that we have BBCode support to actually use BBCode both ways - entering new posts and editing existing posts. If it is easier, let me know.

Ok, I understand now. BBCode both ways would be really good.

Just a few line breaks and links make a post difficult to read when editing or quoting in the plain editor.

Yes, I agree. But it won't be until the end of next week. Will need to change some stuff in the forums.
