Hi Geekzone, I'm having issues with reporting a fault. I noticed my cable connection was down (Wellington area, known fault) but when I tried reporting the issue here I got:



My second connection is Slingshot, very definitely a New Zealand IP address. More information: http://www.ip-db.com/as9790.

It does happen that some IP addresses in our database are reported as being from overseas. Not all geolocation database is updated to the last minute... Particularly Slingshot seems to be using a range of IP addresses that were previously allocated to some company in Australia.

Yah, I checked the allocation date assuming that was going to be the issue but it was apparently allocated at the end of 2010...
