Detruire: Seems unlikely, since my mate on Slingshot isn't having such problems.
Someone else also said it must also be just a xnet issue because Orcon isn't having problems, but checking around different sites/forums people on other ISP's (including Orcon) and ihug are having the same issues.
If you have a look at the ISP backhaul map in NZ http://www.ispmap.co.nz/topmap.html a lot of the troublesum ISP's are using the same backhaul.
I think as someone else suggested that XNET has two problems (one resolved) of too many users on one connection between Telecom and XNET (dsl01) and backhaul problems to overseas.
It's a shame that XNET isn't coming clean on their problems. Transparency goes a long way, rather than reading from Directors statements claiming everything is OK.
It's annoying because we are starting to move all our customers to XNET and now they are having problems.

Speeds werent so bad last night. Im still not able to watch youtube properly, use msn or play counterstrike. But multi-stream downloads are a little better.

Detruire: Can we keep to real download speeds? (ie: pick a file from SF and download part of it, for a minute or so)
Speed tests always show speeds way off real speeds for me (way under, way over...)

My mate just got broadband in the same row of flats. We both sync at ~7Mbits, He gets 2.5MBits on speedtest, I on xnet get 5.5MBits on speedtest (to Auckland.)
Looks like what ever problems xnet has, Other ISP's have it worse :)
