During the day, my Speed is all right, but during the night, the speed is getting slow,
I do not know if it is just me or  any other people facing the same problem ?

Yeah I'm pretty tired of slow on peak speeds too - I easily attain 500kBps during the day, but am lucky to break 100kBps at night. Pings are also worse, and due to XNet using ANC, YouTube videos can take a LONG time to buffer adequately.

1) It depends on your ISP
2) It depends on the traffic. Normally if you are in leased line or single line, it should be fast, but if you are in shareable connection, it will be slow depending on the usage of other users in that shareable connection.

My speed is fine during all day -> over 4000kbps DL and over 500kbps UL, but my ping's gone too high lately.

I am with Xtra Pro plan: max DL and max UL.

I am playing on Australian servers and my ping were usually below 100, now it's gone up to 600.

I is a kollege stoodent. Bee nice.

well i am using xnet.!
just switch from Ihug!
I like  their customer services, but however every night, the speed dramatic drop down.
I just don't know if i need to change any setting ?

p.s I have 4 phones , does that means I need 4 filters? at the moment i only got 3 filter.

You should have a filter on every phone, fax, dialup modem, sky box etc.

I too am getting crap speeds. The answer to our problem is........................It's School Holidays....Kids don't have homework
and can go to bed late... We will just have to wait until they are back at school, doing homework and going to bed early.

XNet should have sufficient bandwidth to deal with these types of circumstances.

At what cost? I'm sure they'll happily lay cable from their place to yours at your cost so that you don't have to share the bandwidth from your exchange to them, just let them know you're happy to pay for it so you don't get a few weeks a year of slow internet

I dont believe these recent speed issues to be a line or exchange issue, more a capacity issue as far as XNet is concerned - particularly with their decision to use ANC, despite many known issues (whether or not XNet chose to acknowledge these issues, they exist).

BJ - your snide comments are unnecessary, and your assertion is not material to this discussion. XNet should be able to provide the same level or service year-round, or I should get a discount for the period's in which it's very slow.

Asianetcom - an international provider with known ongoing issues with latency and speed. XNet used to not use them, which was a virtue. But recently, XNet started purchasing a certain amount of capacity from this unreliable provider, to the detriment of their customers.
