Screeb: We got a pretty funny/not funny email from TelstraClear yesterday letting us know that as an early-registered customer, we can be "amongst the first" to get the T-Box installed - the week commencing 25 October! Wow, thanks TelstraClear! Of course, being proactive about it we have it already - but so much for getting priority treatment! It's pretty insulting actually. There are people that got it installed the first or second day without being pre-registered.

BigBadaboom: Just curious where all the people are that are having the long install delays. Is it Wellington?
I guess I got in before the rush? I ordered last Thurs and got it installed on Friday. My mother ordered it Sunday evening and got it installed Tuesday. My sister ordered it Monday and was supposed to get it Thursday, but the installer apparently "called in sick" and is now supposed to be getting it Saturday/tomorrow. We're all in Chch.
I have the HD ticket. I'm going to try it for a few weeks, but I'm probably going to cancel it. At least till more of the channels are HD. I appreciate that TC give us the three main channels for free. That's nice. But it does mean that you are left paying $10/mo for the four premium channels. I only get the sport package, so that means I'm actually paying $10 for only two HD channels, and I don't think it's really worth it. It would be nice if the HD ticket was half price if you don't get both - or perhaps have "Sport HD" and "Movies HD" packages instead.
