My street is still 100/10 max for HFC... so no FibreX for 200/20 yet.

100/10 will be over DOCSIS 3.0

200/20 requires DOCSIS 3.1 to be deployed following distributed CMTS node upgrade.

Edit: so maybe 200/20 will be load balanced over 3.0 and 3.1 while Max/gigabit will be 3.1 only.

So... @morat, I guess then if looking to saving some cost and upgrade to 200/20 for now, and upgrade to FibreX Max later when my area has become available be possible? Is 200/20 on FibreX as well?

I can't speak to cost savings.

Regarding 200/20; That's a question that is currently under review. Ask me in a week :)

Whoops.  I seem to have accidentally signed up for the 700-900Mbps connection.

Oh dear.  ;-)

Still, $20 discount for the two year contract, plus the $10 mobile discount means $80 a month for it.  Better savings than half price for 6 months of the two year term.

Will need to figure out configuring my existing router when they do the install, presumably next week.

I have SKY and Spark Fibre at the moment. I tried signing up to the Vodafone 200 FibreX Plan with SKY included to get the free My Sky and Sky Sport discount, but the only option is the Vodafone TV box. Does anyone have Vodafone Cable with Sky Satellite on the Vodafone bill?

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Try putting the order through on the phone. Installation of new Vodafone TV boxes are restricted nowadays even if you're going on Cable, they should be able to get the existing Sky services loaded on the Vodafone account.

Whilst I was told on the phone yesterday that for 200/20 a new modem isnt required..they told me today that it is required, and an installer is required.

I've just requested an upgrade to the Fibrex 200/20 with homeline, $15 p/m cheaper than my cable 50/2 plan!

Unfortunately not able to avail of both the free Sky Sports for a year AND the 6 months half price unlimited data plan.

Was just phoned by Downer, the earliest time they could get someone around was Monday morning.

Guess I'll be looking at everyone else's speed tests over the weekend :/

I assume the 3 day install thing excludes weekends?

Was that for 12 or 24 months? Also did you get one of those discounts. It wasn't clear.

It continues my belief with Vodafone: when ever you call them to order something, go find a quiet place and PRAY they have not stuffed it up
