I was told that my HD ticket has not yet been enabled, the unit was installed last Tuesday. How do we know when the HD ticket has been enabled? Is there a symbol somewhere that shows for those of us who have it and doesn't show on those who don't.

PM me with your ACC number and T-Box MAC address (The first one on the sticker on the rear of the box) and I will take a look for you.

Cheers,
Grant

Got my two t-boxes installed on Thursday, but can only get the Sky package channels on the box in the bedroom. And they can't enable them as the job is still "open" in their system. Said I will need to wait until Monday to have them enabled.
Wasn't planning on watching the NRL final tomorrow night in bed.

Anyone else had this problem?

Pamgar, I have the same problem just had T-box installed today and all seems to be working fine with the exception of seeing the sports channels in HD.  I phoned up thinking the HD channels were different channels and not enabled.  From the help desk I was took it was the same normal channel but will be in HD when transmitted in HD and she confirmed my account to says HD Ticket was enabled. Ie when ITM cup was on.

Went and checked after the phone call and certainly was not in HD and check the HD tab that listed 1,2,3 and Prime (i think) only.

Same question should I see an indicator of HD somewhere?

If one does not get the HD ticket, does one still get the freeview channels in HD?

TV 1, 2, and 3 are in HD without the ticket supposedly. (Thats what it says - can't tell if it actually is or not as don't have a HD TV!)

If you're supposed to have something and you haven't got it.. ie: HD Ticket or a particular package. PM me with your account number (so I can confirm what's on your account) and your T-Box MAC address (first MAC address number on it's sticker on the rear of the box) and I will investigate.

Do not post these details here though, only via a private message.

Cheers,
Grant

You can also get the MAC address by going into General->System Details in the Settings menu. It might be easier than crawling around behind your TV :)

My question for Zolly would be whether TC plan to have any sort of issue tracking system where we can report software bugs and feature requests for the T-Box software?

Yes good point, you can find it there too.

There is the usual email address for tv related queries.
From memory it is inhometv@telstraclear.co.nz which will go direct to all the right people.
Chiefie's thread is also being watched with interest.

Hi all

One of the most frustrating things at the moment is to see all the I've got my T-box installed, its looking great but having problems with HD ticket comments, if only that all of my problems.

The other is  I applied the day TCL annouced they were taking orders for installs on FACEBOOK and even the TCL sales person was supprised I found out so early and I was one of the first booking she had. My work mate who I told about it after I had rung TCL, had his T-Box in the next day. Mind you he has had the installers out there 3 times since his install to sort things out.

I have had two PM's via Geekzone from TCL staff, thanks for that guys I appreciated it, stating that they had esculated my install within Downers and  indicated they would try to get me installed tomorow and that they would contact me soon. This was on Friday and I waited by the phone at home all day today and heard nothing.

It is now 3.5 days I have waited at home  for the installers to either contact me or get the T-box
installed.

My patience has finally run out and I am going to cancel my all of my TCL TV and book MY Sky on Monday.

They have guaranteed me a 2 day wait for a install and a real good deal for the first 6 months with a system that works out of the box and has alot more features currently working than the T-box.

This is not a decision I have taken lightly as I have been with TCL and all of its varients right back to Kiwi-Cable from when they were based at Lindale, with those huge dishes in the early 90 untill now.

I have recommend them to  heaps of people and have always found their help desk and staff to have been very helpful and professional. There services and products great, lived through all the random broadband disconnects with their ARP issues and even the supposedly not my problem U-Tube cache fiassco.

The t-box has been the final straw I really cant understand how they have got the implimentation of this so wrong, when it has taken them sooooooooooooo long to bring it to the market.

Any thats my 2 bobs worth, hope all of you that have your T-box up and running enjoy it and it works well for you.

Farewell TCL.

Grant,

Thanks for sorting out my HD ticket. Sky Sport now looks 100 times better with HD working.

Now this is working I know all HD channels have HD quote at the end of the channel name - ie Sky Sport 1 HD. Prior to the fix from Grant no HD was showing expect that standard channels.

The installers have just left our place after putting the box in and spending half an hour prodding at the same settings hoping it will update, apparently one of the servers is down again "bane of our existence" he said.
