@Elmoz:

It's not on the three app on the VTV box.  It is on the VTV app and I can send/cast it to the VTV to watch. Very strange.

I've found similar things a few times - documented Hawaii Five-O in my post dated 23-May-2020 16:47.
As I indicated in that post, I find the numerous inconsistencies very irritating and will prefer to use the T-Box as long as I can!

I ordered one on Thursday @ $99 and it's just arrived. Very good deal.

Anyone out there with one of the newer Samsung TV's with the Smart all in one Universal remote able to get it to work with the VF TV?  Or does anyone know what brand and model this is, assuming it's rebadged from overseas?

Hi there,

yup my Samsung recognised the VTV box and the remote works with it automatically (no FF 20s option though).

I think as long as the tv recognises the box it will work by default.

Hi, it's a Vodafone product manufactured by Sagemcom, not rebadged.  As others have said, Samsung normally recognises it.

When I plug in the HDMI cable and the TV starts it's Scan it doesn't recognise it.  I did find that the box is a Sagemcom DIW387-UHD but if I do a manual search for that (after the channel up/down fails a few times) that's not there.  I assume the VF TV Gen 2 box is Bluetooth only and can't accept IR?

Hi @rp1790,

The box does both Bluetooth and IR, so there shouldn't be any issue with that.   Also that DIW387-UHD model number is Sagem's internal product SKU for the Vodafone device.

Strange as we have some staff here at Vodafone successfully using Samsung's Universal remote with it.  Logitech Harmony device also works well.

Jumping in late here - thought this was a somewhat decent Android TV replacement to the little mv11 (IIRC?) dongle that kept overheating & falling over.

Looking to pop the hood/shell/root on this sucker, since - from what I can tell - it should be a 'black box' I can load my OS of choice on - be that ATV or another POSIX

nmap seems to conform this is a Linux box (where's my sweet, sweet GPL sauce?)

Does anyone have a handle on this; how to get into the guts or a suitable replacement ROM.

That failing, I'd be interested in a (discounted) trade

Finally arrived looks good so far , sorry wasn’t sure what page of this post may cover this. How do I search for a specific program to series record that is not on tv today or watching at the time  . I have about ten programs I need to set up series recording for the father in law. Any ideas?

If you open the menu there is a search option at the top left corner. The microphone button on the remote might be a shortcut to this. Also, in the guide you can use the fast forward button to jump between days
