I rang to change from 150G to unlimited also. The lady said they like to wait until the end of the billing period (22nd may in my case) to switch, which I was fine with. But it appears I have been changed over already? Which I am also fine with.
Does that mean the bill for last month will get cut in half roughly then?

I'm considering switching but curious what sort of speeds people in Karori are getting (if anyone on the board is in that area). Always hear of Kapiti having issues and would not like to sign on for 12 mo and have to deal with that stuff.

One other thing, we appear to have 3 cables coming into the house, all appear to be some form of cable, is there anyway of knowing if these were previously connected to VF/TCL cable?

Areas with poor speed are not just to one ISP, People need to stop thinking this way

Like customers connected to Conklin cabinets getting upset and threating to change ISP

In the case of cable, it would be limited to one ISP as VF is the only provider.

Cable speed should be good Vodafone has been spending $$$ on it since purchased from TCL and giving it some good TLC which was long overdue

But surely you understand that broadband speeds differ depending on where they are, what connection they're on and what the state of their internal wiring is. Asking people what their speeds are like is like asking 'How long is a piece of string?' wink I can do a prequal for you and check what kind of connection you can get at your address. PM me your address (or your neigbour's if you're worried I might stalk you) and I'll check it out for you!

203.97.78.43 and 203.97.78.44.

No issue with Wifi or local caching, I switch to my other internet connection (Orcon VDSL) and it streams perfectly fine. Everything else is quick, just Youtube performance is poor.

It's early days but thus far I have no noticed any speed decline after the introduction of this unlimited plan. So pretty happy so far :)

Are you able to release any stats on how close it's getting to capacity? I assume it's not even close from what you have just said.
