Presumably they have yet to fully deploy and test DOCSIS 3.1 in your area following the distributed CMTS upgrade.

Ipv89:I get numbers like this with my MacBook Pro. My Windows machine gives me the much higher numbers I posted earlier. I'm not sure why I'm getting poor numbers with my MacBook Pro with ethernet adapter.

Also INFO on back of HG659 showing URL to get to the user interface to manage things like WiFi PW

There are 2 default user profiles the best one to manage the HG659 is ' Admin ' capital A
Enter the username Admin and the password "@"and the last eight digits of your modem serial number. E.g. if your modem serial number is ABC0987654321 your password will be @87654321

Have you set WAN as DHCP over tagged UNI (same as fibre optic UFB).

The router I am using TP Link Archer c2 does not have that option, its simply listed as DHCP

Then you are out of luck or will have to get another router that is capable of vlan tagging on the wan interface.
