solaybro:TimA:dejadeadnz: It's early days but thus far I have no noticed any speed decline after the introduction of this unlimited plan. So pretty happy so far :)
This wont occur. So dont expect it. :)
Are you able to release any stats on how close it's getting to capacity? I assume it's not even close from what you have just said.
freitasm: Obviously my previous screenshot won't be the standard usage pattern - just needed to download a couple of VHD (vitual HDD) to test replication, Hyper-V 2012 R2, etc. I don't expect our usage to go much higher than previous levels - we were on 150GB plan and without any thought we pretty much stayed either below or 5 - 10GB over.

I'm normally able to achieve 50mbit/s on the vodafone speedtest but it has dropped to 5mbit/s these few nights. Streaming gets extremely choppy when multiple people are accessing the net and webpages take a lot longer than usual to load.

KineticNZ: Has anyone is the Lower Hutt region on cable noticed a deterioration in speed during 8pm - 10pm the past few nights since the unlimited change? My computer is wired so it definitely is not a problem with wifi. I will keep monitoring it over the next few of days, but I spoke with a person on the same internet plan that lives about 5km away from me and they seem to suffer a similar drop in bandwidth at the specified time periods.
I'll keep monitoring but I just find it so strange that once 10ish pm strikes, the speed suddenly restores to 50mbit/s.
Thanks for your request to change your broadband plan (Naked Broadband Play) to Naked Broadband Entertain.
When will your new plan be active?
When you change plans, any data that you have already used on your previous plan for that month will count towards the allowance on your new plan. At the end of your broadband month, the data allowance is reset as usual and you'll get the full allowance of your new plan to use.
Thanks for choosing Vodafone, and we hope you enjoy using your new broadband plan.
Thanks
Dratsab: Signed up over the phone today as the website wouldn't let me change my plan from my current Naked ADSL connection (no longer on contract) to VDSL - it would only give me other ADSL options >< The install date was scheduled through CSR for Friday 23rd May but the email I've received doesn't match the phone call:
"Your request to change broadband plans is underway. Thanks for your request to change your broadband plan (Naked Broadband Play) to Naked Broadband Entertain. When will your new plan be active?
Either way, we'll send you an email as soon as you are on your new plan. - If you're switching between our current plans, this change will happen on
01-Jun-2014.- If you're upgrading from one of our old broadband plans to one of our current plans, it usually takes up to 24 hours for this speed change to be activated on your phone line (although in some cases it can take longer).

No mention of VDSL and no mention of the scheduled install date. I'm taking it to be a generic email, but it's a super simple thing to have these sorts of things templated so the sender quickly fills out a few fields and an accurate email goes out...
DjShadow: 10 days into the unlimited plan, speed still feels the same as if we were on a capped plan so we're happy.
