Sideface: I've been on VF cable in Wellington for 18 months.
Totally reliable.
Local speeds have never been less that 95% of advertised speeds (130/10Mbps until 4 months ago, now 50/2Mbps).
(I downgraded speed to save $30 per month.)
Sideface
Indio: I have a colleague who was nearly in tears when he emailed me his Speedtest result. Speedtest to the Vodafone test site was about the same: 1.48Mb/s would make me cry too!! What's worrying is I have a Vodafone BDM chasing our business and home broadband and mobile services to change over to Vodafone but I'm not too impressed with this type of performance.

I quoted somewhere eariler that there is a known congestion issue being sorted out on cable over the next month. You are most likely affected by it.. If not could be a line fault.

Wouldnt it be better for your customers who for capacity to be sorted before offering unlimited plans which appear to be messing with fixed cap customers now?

As as per your other comment I would hardly call this "Screwing limited customers over" The congestion is only affecting a single node on the HFC network. Yes it's not ideal to be only getting 76Mbit when you're paying for a 130Mbit plan but it's hardly screwing them over.

Maybe not screwing them over, but if you cant offer the full speed will you compensate for this fact? I am aware its not a guaranteed speed, but is 40% less than your advertised speed we are not talking small margins...
