Haven't been above 100 in kapiti now for a long time.
Skillie: Just tested my 130Mbps cable connection on http://wellington.speedtest.vodafone.co.nz/ - results are shockingly slow!
Download Speed: 22486 kbps (2810.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Anyone else suffering slow speedtests?!
mattbush: Considering up until a month ago it was constantly around the 130 mark...I dont consider under 100 a good result.

Geektastic: How much of the speed is actually under the ISP control as opposed to the network owner?

Past the Chorus hand over point till their edge routers.

As this is a cable connection it's 100% on the Vodafone network.

The WiFi or Chorus network.

Except before all but one part of the cable network
In all seriousness based on experience from customers slow speeds are typically from the dslam to end user (Bad street copper, Internal wiring, Crappy home network / wifi) or international bandwidth providers. Both which are outside of the ISPs control within reason.

I consider it a "best effort" service, and you're getting what you're paying for. No speed is guaranteed.
Also there are a lot of people on here who would give anything for the speed you're getting right now.
