Spyware:

No dish option is simply the CC running Sky Go app.

Might end up finding that you can buy a reasonable Android box for six months subscription to the new Sky box!
Steve

PS - what is 'CC'?

I've noticed the 'restart' feature has disappeared from my options - this allowed you to choose a show and start from the beginning if it was still playing

Basically if you didnt record, or changed channels late etc

Has anyone else seen this?

Last night I noticed 'restart' was missing on Three during the 6 pm news - but not missing on One. Rebooted VTV but that didn't fix it.

Checked just now and restart is available on One and Three.

We use restart at least twice every day and it's the loss of that brilliant feature we will miss most when VTV finally dies.

Yes me too on the 6pm news. The best feature of VTV which I’m hanging on to until forced to give it up.

@sansom Any chance that you could get someone to look at why ‘restart’ is missing from Three and get a fix? VTV was offered to be viable until end of Sept - which was then extended to the end of Oct.

Thanks.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/why-finding-a-vodafone-tv-replacement-may-cost-you/QWZH2CATJDZRI2ZRNXRM5FMKFE/ (paywalled)
Peter Griffin takes a look at Vodafone TV alternatives.

It was published in the 12 Sept Listener. If you have a Wellington City Council library card, then this link might help you find it ... https://www-pressreader-com.wcl.idm.oclc.org/search?query=%22vodafone%20TV
This quote reflects the outcome from Griffin's article:
Unfortunately, there’s nothing that quite matches Vodafone TV for me, because I don’t have a UHF aerial or satellite dish in my apartment building. If I had, I could plug the antenna connection into my Freeviewcompatible smart TV and watch live free-to-air channels directly on my TV.
Instead, I will use a little dongle called SmartVu ($150) to access a selection of Freeview channels over the internet. But that won’t let me record shows and skip the adverts, as I do with Vodafone TV. Instead, I’ll have to go to the on-demand services of the free-to-air channels to replay a show I missed seeing live.
That’s frustrating, because Freeview On Demand, which bundles a library of TV shows from across Freeview channels, is also shutting down later this year. It, too, is a victim of the Netflix effect. It means I’ll now have to use the different TVNZ+, ThreeNow and Māori+ apps to watch episodes that have already aired.
The bottom line is that if you want to recreate the Vodafone TV experience as closely as possible, you will need a UHF or satellite connection, coupled with a compatible smart TV or Freeview recorder box (about $400).

Good luck!
