I run the same IP range - 192.168.0.1. I also have 2 static assigned DHCP and the rest dynamic IP for the lan devices.

I've change my dhcp pool to be the same as yours (just to match) are rebooted everything and it all works ok. The DHCP assigned devices get IPs from the nominated range and the statics assign.

It sounds like you know what you are doing, but just throwing it out there - I've seen this happen before when there are two DHCP servers on the network. Thats not happening here is it?

Whats the IP config of the network adapters showing? Did you populate the DNS IP fields in theUltra Hub config too or is it still blank? (mine is blank)

Also, for your Apple TV, I wonder if it still had a valid DHCP lease before from the bigger range before it changed, and the renewal has requested the same again?

I'm pretty sure there is only the one DHCP server... just the ultrahub. The other devices are either computers, smartphones, or lesser devices. The wireless bridges are all configured with an assigned static ip address in their own configuration.

The network adapters, for example on this desktop machine, are set to obtain ip addresses automatically.

The DNS fields in the Ultrahub are as per default, blank.

I rebooted the Ultrahub and the AppleTV went back to 192.168.0.84 which is where it was before !!

In my case I think the loss of DNS and web access happened after I added a third static assigned device on the Ultrahub. It was running ok with just two yesterday.

Ah, you are right - 3 or more and the browsing stops. I added and it breaks. I removed the third and it works again. I have reported it.

Statically assigned the IP on the end devices is ok (as I have with my 3 cameras)

Hm, mine has 3 set up with no trouble. Maybe two of them are redundant, in that those devices have their own idea of their IP addresses.

I've got lots of static ip devices but almost all of them are set internally so maybe that's why I haven't seen this problem. Still it is certainly another bug that needs fixing.

Using the new Ultra Hub modem/router on a Vodafone Cable connection @ 200Mbps down.

Modem+router is situated in the living room.

In a separate room (single storey house) about 15 meters away from the router in the living room (two walls between living room and the other room) and I'm getting poor wifi signal.

5G or not, doesn't matter. Getting terrible download speeds around 5-8Mbps. Browsing is terribly slow. 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz signals are both on a channel that isn't too busy.

Is this to be expected from the Ultra Hub router? I get that I shouldn't expect excellent coverage, but considering the other room is <20m away and there's only 2 walls between the room and the router, I don't understand why I can't get decent signal strength.

If I'm in the same living room as the router, Wifi or ethernet still brings me full 200Mbps speeds on Speedtest.net. Move to the other room on 5Ghz or 2.5Ghz wifi and I cannot go above 10Mbps download on Speedtest.net, even browsing the web is god awful slow. I've tried other devices and I'm getting the same thing.

i think its unrealistic to expect it to work will through multiple walls. anything less than -60dB and its going to be going slow.

thats just how WIFI works.

if yo uwant better signal at the other end of the house invest in an access point to cover that end

Install one of those wifi signal strength apps on your phone and do a walk around.

I've always found that siting the router up high gives the best coverage. I have ours in a spare room at almost ceiling height.

<inexpert musing>15 m is a long way, that's a big house. Your neighbours' devices are part of the story.</>

Do you still have your old router? You may be able to repurpose it as an access point at the other end of your house, maybe connecting it with powerline ethernet. Just set it's own IP to something different from the Ultra Hub, and disable DHCP. Maybe set different 2.4 GHz channels on each, but use the same SSID and password, devices connect to the strongest signal automatically. I've done that with my TP Link, less metres but more walls.

I like the flexibility of the powerline ethernet adapters. A "single storey house" sounds like a standalone house with one wiring system, good for powerline ethernet, but YMMV as the Americans say. A little expensive though, starting at $75, and a 20 m cable $25.

I've had the Ultra Hub installed and working for a month now, and it seems to be doing the job well.

One niggle I do have is that if one reboots the unit, then it reverts back to the default/factory Password ... found this out last week because after losing the internet, the on-screen information asked for the unit to be rebooted. Without thinking I did that, only to then realise that it was actually the cable modem that needed to be rebooted (presumably Vodafone had been doing some "maintenance").
